× Vincent Rehel and his band came-up with an excellent album which was only played once at the jazz fest. Lots of media was missing (too much to see at the same time) and Vincent is happy to help to get the word out. This won’t appeal to our musical theatre crowd but it will appeal to younger jazz fans and it’s also in the dead of winter so I think it’s the right time to do something a little more edgy:

Talented pianist Vincent Rehel shows off his panache on the recent release Capitaine ivre. Unveiling this wild electric psycho-acid-jazz-rock opus, the captain of the soirée arrives with a trio — JF Lemieux on bass et Max Sansalone on drums — , accompanied by singer Sonia Johnson and trumpeter Jacques Kuba Séguin.
